MIAMI, FL -- Extreme sports can add a new sport to its repertoire, waterboarding. "It's on a whole new level, man. I haven't felt like this since climbing in Yosemite without ropes," said Marco Sofronio, a professional rock climber.

The new sport has also been met with a flood of new organizations and groups, including an advisory group, hoping to create a standardized framework of rules.

"The east coast and west coast have a few variations. Things like board tilt, water flow rate, mask opacity -- but it's pretty much the same -- AWESOME!" said Rudy Buster, founder of The Florida Waterboarders.
